Reporting to CPO
Purchasing Volume 300 Mio. €
Material Groups/ Categories Responsibility of Sourcing and Purchasing of all direct materials (Electronics, Mechanics, Optics) and services
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Development of global sourcing strategies for categories and cost reductions (Electronics, Mechanics, Optics)
  • RFP/RFQ ́s and negotiations of prices, terms & conditions and closing of multi-year contracts
  • Work with internal clients as product lines, manufacturing sites and supporting departments in Germany, UK and South Africa
  • Align objectives with product lines and drive value by reducing TOCO and risk, while increasing innovation, customer service and quality
  • Establish Total Cost of Ownership (TOCO) analyses and evaluations
  • Control and maintain current prices and contracts
  • Supplier management: Scanning, controlling and evaluation of current suppliers
  • Searching and bundling of current and/or additional potential suppliers for existing products
  • Global responsibility for key suppliers
  • Driving and measuring KPI ́s (target savings; timely establishment of RFP’s and RFQ’s, PO’s, deliveries; effective management of cost center and employees)
  • Ensure the observance of global compliance standards for procurement of Directs as well as development of standards for direct categories
  • Administration for regional SAP modules
  • Ad hoc projects worldwide (e.g. global Procure-to-Pay tool rollout, Direct Material Cost Reduction Program)
  • Realization of target savings in sourcing of Directs
  • Management of cost center and employees

Anforderungsprofil


Education Engineering or natural sciences dagree (Bachelor or higher)
Job experience Multi-year experience in Sourcing and Purchasing of technical Directs
Experience and Competencies
  • Knowledge of sourcing levers and processes and of supplier relationship management
  • Strategic orientation, self-motivated to identify trends and improvement opportunities aligned to business objectives and strategic plans
  • Strong executive presence and ability to prepare and give board level presentations
  • Excellent communication and collaborations skills with the ability to build effective relationships and convince peers and key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership of multinational teams and willingness to travel worldwide; approx. 10% of working time
  • SAP MM knowledge would be an advantage
